Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
The Computational Biology and Bioinformatics group is one of several special interest groups formed by members of the Algorithms and Complexity Laboratory whose focus is on research about algorithmics in computational biology and bioinformatics. The group's active research areas include data mining and visualization of genetics and genomics data, bioinformatics algorithms, algorithms for systems biology, and parallelization in general purpose computation GPGPU using CUDA platform. Members of the group also dabble in biological systems modeling using discrete models and structures, as well as application of natural computing models to simulate and analyze biological processes.
