CS 130 - Mathematical Methods in Computer Science


  • **NEW** May 19, 2016 - Here is the final class standing for both sections. I left the Exam 3 and Final Exam papers with Kuya Sherwin in Room 301. If you have any questions regarding the grades, don't hesitate to e-mail me. Do your best in your remaining exams and requirements for the semester. :)

  • May 16, 2016 - Exam 3 Answer Key up. Sorry for posting this just now, I had to wait until all those who requested for special exams have finished before posting. To those who took the special exams a while ago, check the link below for the updated class standing.

  • May 15, 2016 - Here is the prefinal class standing. Final exam is on May 19, Thursday, during class hours. The exam duration is 90 minutes. Coverage is every topic discussed except Matrix Factorization. Type of exam is problem solving. You may also bring up to 3 long bond papers worth of "cheat sheet". Oh, and here's something to take note to help you get through the final exam.

  • May 2, 2016 - NO CLASSES TOMORROW, MAY 3. There is a scheduled maintenance in the UPAECH building tomorrow from 8:00am to 12:00nn, so building-wide electrical power will be turned off. See you on Thursday, May 5.

  • April 18, 2016 - Problem Set 1 results here. In addition, here is your midcourse class standing which includes results in Exams 1 and 2, and Problem Set 1. I'll be handing out the checked Exam 2 papers tomorrow during class.

  • April 12, 2016 - Problem Set 2 questionnaire up. Read the instructions carefully. Due date is on April 27, 2016.

  • March 1, 2016 - Problem Set 1 questionnaire up. Read the instructions carefully. Due date is on March 16, 2016.

  • February 9, 2016 - Given the current pace of our discussions, I have adjusted the (tentative) schedule of activities as shown on the right hand side. The schedule of Exam 1 is thus moved to February 23, 2016, Tuesday. Please be guided accordingly.
